I Actually Clicked On an Ad! Smoke Cessation Ad.

So I rarely look at advertisments unless a very unique item is presented to me...well this time, as I was checking how many grammatical and spelling errors I could find in my posts, Google presented me with this ad for "Linkman - The Habit Reversal Device." It was a full image ad, and it worked! This product is interesting, but I'm not convinced it'd work...It's a device that grants you permission to smoke in intervals. The intervals get longer and longer, until finally you're weened off of cigarettes. But hey, an ad that actually convinced me to look at it...Interesting...BTW, just a short update, I haven't gone back to smoking...

I don't think "weening" off the smokes works. I suppose if you're a two pack a day smoker. Coming from half a pack a day, you're better off cold turkey as you are doing. Besides, starting smoking again begins with one cig.

Tim mmf, Thanks for the comment...wish your mom luck!

Lamoneyguy, yeah, "weening" off cigs...dunno about that one...

Adds are a way of posters to sustain the hobby. Hosting fees, research time. It could also be motivation for sharing valuable information with the rest of us.

I do look at adds on websites and click on those interesting enough. Kind of a quid pro quo thing. I appreciate readers to listen to my advertiser's messages, and I do the same for them.
