A Major Letdown...Sorry To Those Who Supported Me, I'm Smoking Again. :(

Sigh. I actually started smoking about 2 weeks ago. I didn't want to post about it because I feel so bad. Even as an anonymous blogger, I feel like I let my readers down. I let myself down too. I got re-hooked by a simple meltdown, a bad day. This is not the end. I will try again.

Freedumb, I am not going to lie. As a smoker and a fellow pf blogger - I have been watching your progress with the smoking and I thought you were doing great. I was a little surprised to read your post, but...

YOU HAVE NOT LET ME DOWN!!!

Sorry to yell it, but I think all of us smokers, or people who have quit understand how much they take control of our life. I know it was hard for you to "confess" but I thank you for being honest with us.

Like you said, it's not the end and I do not think it will be for you. You've had some great days that I am sure your lungs are thanking you for. You have went quite a while without smoking and that in itself is a great accomplishment.

I noticed you set your progress bar back to zero. I'd like to suggest one thing - still keep up something there that shows what you were able to do. You were able to go three months and that was great!!

Even with a little setback, I have no doubt in my mind that you will reach your goal :)

Tricia, Thank you...I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to tackle this the next time around.

I did make that change you suggested to the bar...now it says, "my first attempt...failed." I think that's a great idea...it'll remind me...maybe I'll try to beat that the 2nd time.

You can't realize how awesome your comment made me feel.

You didn't let me down. Sometimes we fall and just have to get back up again. I still commend you for going 105 days without a smoke. Shoot, I don't think I can go that long without chocolate (although I should)! LOL

In fact, now you have a benchmark to challenge yourself. Next time, try to go 106. Betcha can't? (lil friendly motivation) HA HA

BTW, I have nothing but respect for your honesty...

Thanks SingleMa...I think I'm going to try for 106 real soon. Hah, chocolate is not the same as the smokes! If I could throw away the cigs and be addicted to chocolate, I'd do that in a moment!
